ILLYA PAVLOV (UA)

Dr. Illya Pavlov ist Wissenschaftler und Design-Direktor. Im Jahr 2006 gründete er mit seiner Partnerin Maria Norazian das Design Studio “Grafprom”. Er hatte auch für führende Kreativagenturen und Pressehäuser in post-sowjetischen Hauptstädten gearbeitet und landesweite Marken und Eckstein-Editionen entworfen. Illya hat schon über 16 Jahre Erfahrung in der Designbranche. Doch der Drang, frei zu sein und zu forschen, ließ ihn nirgendwo zu lange bleiben, auch nicht in seinem eigenen Studio in Charkiw.

In seinem Lebenslauf finden sich zahlreiche Gruppen- und persönliche Design-/Kunstausstellungen und Auszeichnungen in internationalen Wettbewerben. Dieses Jahr erwarb das “Grafprom” Studio den ersten Preis in dem internationalen Plakatwettbewerb “ReImagining Europe”.

Er leitete Workshops und hielt Vorträge in Österreich, den USA, Polen und der Ukraine. Derzeit ist Illya als Senior Dozent an der FH Joanneum und als Gastdozent an der Kharkiv School of Architecture tätig. Illya ist außerdem ein Mitglied des Grafikdesignverbunds "The 4th Block". Seit mehr als 10 Jahre ist er Mitorganisator und Kurator der internationalen Plakattriennale "The 4th Block". Heute ist Grafprom Studio eine Design- und Branding-Beratung mit Klienten in ganz Europa und einer Repräsentanz in der Schweiz und in Grossbritannien.

Illya Pavlov, PhD, is a researcher and design director. In 2006 he established the Grafprom studio with his partner Maria Norazian. Overall experience makes more than 16 years in the branch. Though the urge to be free and exploring didn’t let him stay too long anywhere including his own studio in Kharkiv. His CV counts numerous group and personal design / art related exhibitions and features awards in international contests. The recent one is the first prize at the “ReImagining Europe” international poster competition. Conducted workshops and lecturing in Austria, USA, Poland and Ukraine. Current senior lecturer at FH Joanneum, guest lecturer at Kharkiv School of Architecture. Current member of “The 4th Block’’ graphic design association. Coorganizer and curator of international poster triennial “The 4th Block” for more than 10 years. Now Grafprom studio is a design and branding consultancy with clients all over the Europe and a representative office in Switzerland and UK.
